Ok, you know what your sign is. But do you know what your Birth Moon is? Click here!
Aries: Goofy, physical humor comes most naturally. These are some of the top mimics in the Zodiac! But they are also known to be quite witty out of the blue.
Taurus: Observational humor. They are usually unintentionally hilarious, and can take a step back and laugh at…

♈ Aries: Rage, impulsivity and failure to get worked up about the things they normally do, oppositional but with less verve and energy
♉ Taurus: Isolation, binge eating and lethargy, a sense of 'me against the world', less patience, easier to enrage
♊ Gemini: Silence, nerves, over thinking, easily distractible and seems 'elsewhere'; they are fairly intolerable to sadness they tend to detach/dissociate from feelings after a short while
♋ Cancer: Teariness, neediness, isolation, binge eating, crying after insignificant events, stomach aches, a feeling of separation from everyone around them
♌ Leo: Obvious displays of stress, they become like a wound up string and as if they are on the brink of a nervous break down. Short tempered and needy (only around close friends/family)
♍ Virgo: Isolation, heightened compulsions (cleaning, washing hands more etc;), unresponsive in conversations, at time blunt and more oppositional
♎ Libra: General feeling of instability/moodiness, reduced urge to socialize/be with friends, hopelessness, a feeling of being disliked/rejected by everyone, you can sense them 'trying' to be happy and keep composed
♏ Scorpio: Isolation, opposition, hostility and violent mood swings. Intense melancholy with at times delusions and paranoia. Thoughts even scary to them, a sense of 'me against the world'.
♐ Sagittarius: Lethargy, escapism (substance use etc;), uncharacteristically more serious and tense, less tolerance, feelings of worry when thinking into the future
♑ Capricorn: Demotivation, lethargy, hopelessness, over thinking, they seem tense and 'overly alert', hyper vigilant, force themselves to 'go through the motions', nothing impresses them
♒ Aquarius: Uneasy, harder to 'reach'; as if they are far away. Silence, isolation, detachment, even though they try to appear happy. Distractible
♓ Pisces: Teariness, anxiety, isolation, when they feel sadness they tend to feel 'all at once', nerves, obsessive/ruminating thinking, hopelessness, despair, lethargy

So, I know I’ve read that his birthday was just supposed to be a hat-tip to someone’s wife (don’t recall whose), but I couldn’t help looking into what Dean’s birth chart would be. And lo, an Aquarius sun and Sagittarius moon.
That alone got me thinking: maybe the writers put a little thought into this, or someone took something from it, because an Aquarius sun and Sagittarius moon would result in someone who is: independent, values freedom, looks out for the “greater good” and has a generalized love for humanity. Mission-driven and a lover of travel, experiencing the new.
These things are all Dean, but he is also intensely family-driven and a nurturer. So, I decided he must have the rather oddly matched Cancer as an Ascendant, and with his penchant for self-sacrifice I pushed the birth time to give both Cancer ascendant and Pisces Midheaven. (Ascendant is how he relates to other people, and how he is seen, while Midheaven helps describe how his “career” or mark on the world will be expressed.) This moves many other planets into houses that seem to fit remarkably well with Dean’s life: a Saturn in House IV suggests a restrictive or troubled upbringing, not allowing him to have the childhood he needed. His Venus in House VI means he will probably find love on the job, but also that he shows love through practical action - by being helpful and available to others.
His Cancer ascendant also emphasizes his possessive and all-powerful concern with family and those he keeps close. It also gives the emotionality to Dean that would otherwise be expected to be more restrained with an Aquarius and Sagittarius mix (mostly detached, intellectual signs). He is moody but always strives to protect his sensitive inner self through detachment and a hard shell (fitting well with Cancer - and his sun and moon contributing the typical snark for which he is known).
Much more could be said, but I just thought how interesting that this fit so well. If one wanted, they could do a real chart rectification, but the psychological profile is enough to convince me this is probably pretty close to what Dean’s astrological chart at birth would be. It’s not the easiest lot in life he’s given, but then that goes without saying.
don’t mind me. i am spn fan and amateur astrologer and it is Saturday. these things happen.
You always view others as you would view yourself and are very aware of your own restrictions and a bit unsure of yourself. You judge others with sympathy, acceptance, and patience. Others sense your honesty and are drawn to your romantic and slightly offbeat approach, so they invariably feel comfortable with you. Your combination is one of the most creative, attractive, and most of all perceptive. It might look as though you are just a detached and remote Aquarian, but beneath that cool, intellectual surface is a very sensitive, understanding, and highly perceptive individual. You have incredible intensity, insight, and instinct. Two of your strengths are empathy and adaptability. You can intuitively understand all sorts of people. You are at home almost anywhere and there is nothing fake or arrogant about you. There is no limit to your creative imagination. You are capable of reaching your many dreams and goals because you are tuned in. And you have really big dreams. You tend to hold in pain and frustrations ad infinitum, which may cause psychological problems. A great deal, obviously, rests on your early home situation and whether it was secure and emotionally encouraging and helped to develop a positive self-image. But there is a self-sufficiency available. All Aquarians can get security and a healthy outlook via social activities, no matter what their past is. Your allure and affability almost assures support from friends and mentors later on in life if security was not present in the childhood home. Your inquisitiveness about the world around you is inexhaustible and you are likely to have many pursuits. Aquarius-Cancer combinations include Norman Mailer, Franklin D. Roosevelt, and Clark Gable. A Cancer Moon increases Aquarian incompatibilities and insecurities. For example, men of this combination might attempt to make up for deep-seated fears and hide their emotional vulnerability by taking on a tough, macho surface. Aquarius-Cancers can simply become eccentric recluses or that active Cancer imagination can cause a lot of paranoia. While periodic getaways and withdrawal may be important to your emotional health, be careful that it does not become your only reaction to frustration or defeat. In order to fight the more negative expressions of their imaginations all Cancer-Aquarians should stay socially active

For those interested in astrological profiling based on what information I have gleaned and some personal “deductions” (couldn’t resist), here are the profiles I would give each. (Also not sure about year of Watson’s birth, though I know they were not the same age.)
